Calathea roseopicta ‘Medallion’
|Availability:||In stock (1)|
Origin: Native to the tropical Americas.
Ideal conditions: Thrives in medium to bright indirect light (direct sunlight will scorch it's leaves). It can also tolerate low light. Your Calathea Medallion will do best with a regular watering routine and soil that is kept moist but not saturated. It enjoys humidity.
Ease of care: Moderate
Notes: It gets its name 'medallion' due to its round leaves. Like other Calathea it angles it's leaves horizontal during the day and draws them up in the evening, revealing its lovely purple undersides. Calathea are often referred to as 'prayer plants' due to this practice, which is called nyctinasty. It is a response to changes in the sunlight.
Do not place near any air vents, heaters or air conditioners.
Calathea roseopicta ‘Medallion’ is safe for pets and humans.
